Why I like Starbucks Coffee

I love Starbucks coffee. I really don’t mind paying more money for it because it tastes really good to me. I do mind the always happy liberals who work in the store. Something about them, they all look the same. I guess I would look the same to if I listened to “their” type of music all day and walked around with one heck of a caffeine buzz!
I am not a big fan of all the triple decaf latte crap, just give me a coffee. Make it a large, not a Venti or a Grande.
The Sumatra is my favorite….I think it dates back to Ceasar – a love orgy or something? Su Ma Tra…. Sounds and tastes really good. I find myself purchasing Starbucks at my local grocery store alot lately…like $8.00 for one of those little bags. I think I get about 6 pots out of it at 8 ( really 4 ) cups per pot so it’s a better deal than going into the store. Plus….I only have to deal with the miserable check out girl instead of the ever so happy Starbucks cashier. Life is good. I love my coffee! So much…that I decided to buy it. www.iownCoffee.com is my way of telling the world that if they want to know anything about coffee, they will have to come thru me!

How does drinking coffee every day affect your health?

I know lots of people, especially older people & teachers who drink @ least 3 mugs a day. Lots of people tell me that since I suffer anxiety, I shouldn’t drink caffeine because it would increase the risk of a panic attack. I try to stay away from caffeine, even though I like Coffee. I hardly drink it. But if I DO drink it, I usually have more cream & sugar in it than the coffee, itself.

Is drinking coffee helpful or harmful in other ways? How?

Coffee’s negative health effects are mostly due to its caffeine content. Research suggests that drinking caffeinated coffee can cause a temporary increase in the stiffening of arterial walls. Excess coffee consumption may lead to a magnesium deficiency or hypomagnesaemia, and may be a risk factor for coronary heart disease. Some studies suggest that it may have a mixed effect on short-term memory, by improving it when the information to be recalled is related to the current train of thought, but making it more difficult to recall unrelated information. About 10% of people with a moderate daily intake (235 mg per day) reported increased depression and anxiety when caffeine was withdrawn, and about 15% of the general population report having stopped caffeine use completely, citing concern about health and unpleasant side effects. Nevertheless, the mainstream view of medical experts is that drinking three 8-ounce (236 ml) cups of coffee per day (considered average or moderate consumption) does not have significant health risks for adults. And for me its causes headaches and cold.

Coffee as a Poplular Beverages Today

Coffee is one of the most popular beverages consumed by people from all over the world. In fact, coffee is probably the second most popular drink next to water. It seems to have that distinct aroma and taste that favors the tastebuds of most people. That is probably the reason why coffee has become a worldwide favorite. Coffee, in its different incarnations, is being enjoyed by people from all walks of life, gender in even the farthest regions of the world.

When it comes to enjoying coffee today, people seem to benefit from the many choices available today. Thanks to many enterprising individuals who helped made the business of coffee enjoyment a more popular privilege as well as a lifestyle. Before, coffee drinking was considered as an ordinary everyday ritual.

Nobody bothered how they enjoyed their coffee. Most people didn’t have an idea then that there are other ways to enjoy coffee than just the black variety. It wasn’t until Starbucks came into existence that Coffee drinking became the popular trend.

With Starbucks and other similar coffee shops offering different varieities of the popular beverage, the evolution of coffee as just an ordinary beverage has come upon us. Nowadays, one may not just order coffee as itself. There are currently a host of choices available that will challenge the taste buds. Aside from the traditional black coffee, there is the espresso to consider.

Espresso is basically coffee made by forcing hot water under high pressure through roasted coffee that has been grounded to an extremely fine powder. This results in having a beverage that produces a rich, flavorful, and almost syrupy beverage.

Its characteristics are due to the extraction and emulsification of the oils found in ground coffee by pressuring hot water through them. Espresso can be enjoyed as a straight shot or mixed with steamed milk and in a lot of other ways.

Aside form the straight shot espresso, there is also the caffe latte that might also be an interesting coffee experience. It is basically coffee served mixed with milk. It can be differentiated with a cappuccino in the sense that it contains more milk and therefore may have a creamier and milkier flavor to it. Cappuccino on the other hand may contain about a one third less milk in a usual serving.

Another coffee beverage becoming more and more popular is the relatively new and unique selection of flavored coffee drinks being offered by more and more coffee shops like Starbucks. These are special creations that are served as hot espresso mixed with a flavored syrup.

The choices has grown as more and more flavors are being mixed with coffee as the base. Nowadays, there are vanilla, Irish creme, almond, hazelnut, and caramel flavored coffee drinks to choose from aside from other exotic fruity flavors such as orange and raspberry coffee drinks.

Heavenly Spice Exotic Flavored Coffee

Heavenly Spice Exotic Flavored Coffee

Spiciness has ranked close to godliness since Biblical times. Cinnamon- one of the oldest spices- was used as a love oil by the Hebrews and Egyptians; it later satisfied the hunger of amorous Greeks and Romans. Other Eastern spices such as pepper- cardamom- cloves- ginger- and nutmeg were so revered by wealthy Europeans that they set off the Spice Wars – and brought Columbus to America during his search for an alternative “”pepper route.”" The best flavorings have now been blended into the ultimate spiced Coffee.Your senses will be aroused and captivated with every cup! .Eight Natural Spice Flavors

What Country Makes the Best Tasting Coffee?

It’s the age old debate. Who grows the best coffee?

Well, if we are going by sheer size, you’ve got to give the edge to Brazil, as they are by far, the world’s largest Coffee grower. They have approximately 1/3 of their entire land to work with just to grow coffee beans.

Their coffee is naturally mixed in flavors. The have wide variety of blends to choose from.

If we are going by the most famous, it would have to be Columbia.  Who doesn’t think of coffee and Columbia in the same breath. Also, who can’t think of Ramon Valdez when they think of Columbian coffee.  Their coffee has a notroiusly sweet and light flavor.

Don’t forget about Cuba either. Cubans are well know for making some of the strongest coffee in the world. It’s almost like drinking a shot of whisky. Drink more than a few cups and you’ll have hard time sleeping that night.  You could find a lot of Cuban coffee in Little Havana in Miami, as there are many little coffee shops in that are where you could get a cup of Joe.

You also find a great coffee bean by taking a stroll over to Asia, where countries like Malaysia and Indonesia are getting world wide recognition for their great coffee beans.  There coffee is more well known for the mellow bitterness in its flavor.

You can’t forget about Europe, either. How could you?  You can tell how important there coffee is to them by all the great little afes you find all around Europe.

Countries like France and Italy have always been known for their sophisticated tastes in coffee blends.

So who gets to be known as the best? It’s hard to say. I suppose it really depends on your taste buds and what appeals to you.

The good news is that you don’t have to go to all these countries to get great coffee beans. I suppose you could go fly, and taste them yourself, firsthand.

You can have all these exotic coffee beans delivered straight to your home.

Why do some people drink coffee in the evenings?

I never understood that. Coffee drinking seems to be a tradition after finishing dinner with some people, and it’s always offered to my party and I whenever we dine at fancy restaurants, and I don’t understand that. Wouldn’t drinking coffee keep people up at night? (Although I guess that depends how strong the coffee is made.)

Anyway, for me coffee has always been strictly a morning beverage only. It would actually feel strange to me to have it at any other time.

I drink coffee at night for different reasons at different times. After dinner it is offered as was to continue the dinner conversation of a group while countering the tendency of many people to get tired after eating a meal. Many people like the taste of coffee and are not effected by the caffeine so they drink coffee before bed. Another reason I drink coffee at night is I am a full time student and work full time so I need to go for 18 hours a day 7 days a week and coffee is the best legal way to help with that.
