Coffee – Great in the Cup Bad for Your Breath

One of the best things that we can drink for our health and for our breath is water.  Unfortunately, very few of us drink enough water. As a matter of fact, we drink other things that cause dehydration within the body and bad breath within the mouth.

A good example of this is coffee.

First of all, coffee is one of the main culprits as far as bad breath is concerned. Many of us drink coffee in the morning in order to wake up but some of us drink coffee throughout the entire day and this can be a big problem. Coffee taste good in the cup and it certainly smells good whenever we are brewing it but after we drink it, it leaves a lingering odor on our breath that is rather unpleasant to anybody that can smell it.

Another problem with drinking coffee throughout the day is that it often dehydrates us .Dehydration is the main reason that we have bad  breath in the morning. Dehydration allows bacteria to grow within our mouth whenever our salivary glands are not working at optimum levels. This bacteria can grow to numbers that can be rather offensive, and there is little that we can do in order to prevent it if we continue to be dehydrated.

If we are dehydrating ourself because we’re drinking too much coffee and not enough water, we are causing the same problem throughout the day. This, in itself, is not typically enough to get people to stop drinking the morning cup of coffee but they may consider doing some things in order to clean their mouth after the coffee has been consumed.

In conclusion,if you’re going to have Coffee, make sure that you are able to clean your mouth afterwards and that you drink an additional cup of water in order to compensate for the dehydration effect of the caffeine.  Doing these two things is going to help you to keep the bad breath away, even though you’re enjoying one of the drinks that is notorious for causing bad breath.

If your stomack makes noises all the time and your breath smells bad?
What should I person eat cure my stomack? I’m only 25. Does coffee hurt it? They have told me sugar and carbonhydrates are good-is it true? Is coke going to help or make it worse? Why do oranges hurt a lot? Why does yogurt makes me feel lethargic? Though cold milk makes me feel great. (Hot milk makes me feel sick) And even mexican food makes me feel great.

p.s. if the stomack sounds like it is empty all the time-even if you have eaten-what’s the problem?

Firstly, if you have a problem with your stomach, always consult a doctor. Any answers you get on this forum could be from any source, whereas a doctor has trained for AT LEAST 5 years before giving you his/her opinion. They know their stuff.
All the questions above are unanswerable when we don’t know what is wrong with your stomach. We don’t need to know either – take them to a qualified nutritionist if a doctor can’t help you.

First of all…warm milk makes EVERYBODY sick…I don’t even like the smell of it. Coffee is what makes your breath smell. Carbs can be good for the stomach but I wouldn’t say too much sugar because this can cause you to feel sick still. Coke won’t help either because it is very gassy and will…well…you know what happens to gassy people haha…and coke is another thing that could make your breath smell AND make you feel sick due to all the caffine and sugar. Oranges are very acidic which is yet another cause for your bad stomach. The acids react with the other things you eat, however it is very good for your vitamins. When you say orages hurt you mean your stomach right? Because if they hurt your gums its just because of the acid and you should toughen up your cums by gently brushing them at the same time as your teeth. (It might hurt the first few times but then they will be tough and make your teeth better too).

To cure your stomach pretty much any veg is good to eat cooked or raw because the neutrients are used to calm it down. If you find you have unbalanced toiletry habbits you might want to look into having iritable bowl syndrome which can cause the symptoms you are getting. This could also explain why it is always growling. If you don’t have IBS, you need to change your diet. You are always growling because you are eating fast using energy. Your body is using the energy straight away and requiring more. Fast energy are things like pizza, white bread, chocolate, white rice and pasta. Good slow release foods are such as wholemeal NOT BROWN….WHOLEMEAL bread, rice, pasta, fruit (has both fast and slow release energies) veg, meats, etc. You will find that eating these healthier things will probibly bring your weight down too because you will need less of it as your body won’t be needing to be constantly topped up.

    Hope I helped…sorry if I babbled.

Time to go to the doctor. It is very possible that you have an ulcer or some food intolerance going on (celiac, casein, etc.) but it will not be diagnosed unless you get yourself to a doctor and get help figuring it out.
If you do have an ulcer due to h pylori infection, then you need antibiotic and PPI treatment to get rid of it. H Pylori is nothing to mess with since they have been proven to cause stomach cancer in the long run… go to the doctor, ok?
