I don’t know if you’ve ever seen a Beckett play but there’s a real sense of meaninglessness to what the characters do and say. Also the setting is minimalistic and desolate. There’s also an absurd element that u get in Beckett, like the swapping chairs and the idea of someone going to your dentist apointmant instead of u.
