1 tbsp for ever 2 cups so 2and 1/2 tbsps, then put a dash of salt over the coffeegrounds before brewing to kill the bitterness…..

1 rounded tsp of coffee for each cup, so you need to use 5 rounded teaspoons for 5 cups.

I like strong coffee, so I use 1 Tablespoon of coffee to 1 cup of water…so in your case it would be 5 Tablespoons to 5 cups of water….Use cold water and even better, use bottled water…

1 tablespoon per cup is the standard amount. You can vary it some, but I wouldn’t go too much lower. When you make coffee too weak the beans get over extracted, which can make your coffee bitter.

Depending on your taste as to how you can make the perfect cup. I usually add 3 tbsp to 2 cups of water. I like it a little strong. If you experiment some you will get it down. Also depends the brand of coffee..

I use 1 tablespoon of ground coffee per 2 cups of water and I feel the coffee brews at a perfect strength. It’s really a personal preference so go a little less coffee if you prefer weaker coffee and of course a bit more if you like it stronger. Try some flavored coffees…they’re great.

According to the SCAA and SCAE, 20 ounces
of water for 1 ounce of coffee is considered the Gold Cup Standard or
correct coffee to water ratio. 1 ounce translates into about 1/2 cup of ground coffee. For a typical home brewer with a 50 oz. carafe you would use 3/4 cup of ground coffee.
Most establishments do not use this much coffee and instead use about 1/2 cup or 2 oz. which is acceptable for most consumers.
To make 5 cups you should use about 5 tablespoons or 3/8 cup of ground coffee.
